I help support members in achieving their goals and promote overall independence and self confidence. I help plan and execute activities that are personal centred and accessible for all. I also help support my team on a day to day basis.
I have developed my understanding of care tailored to the individuals and how to apply this in practices. I have also expanded my knowledge in the legislations and regulations surrounding the care industry, this have built my self confidence in decision making and in leadership.
I really enjoyed the online workshops as it is a great way to engage with others on my course and learn from their experiences and knowledge. I also enjoy my 1:1 with my tutor as she has really helped build my confidence in care.
Overall the programme is structured and organised. In the month you are expected to do your e-learning, then your workshop and finally finish your module activity. The only improvement I can think to make is the wording on the e-learning as sometimes I get confused on my next steps.
I receive a lot of support from James’ Place, especially from my line manager. If I feel stuck or am struggling with a module I feel comfortable to talk to my line manager about my concerns.
I receive a lot of support to from Paragon, I have monthly meet ups with tutor Kelly. I also feel confident to text her if I have any concerns or issues. My teacher Luke also is very supportive and offers help in every workshop. Very graceful!
Very well, I have been applying everything I’ve learnt to work and I have noticed significant improvement in my work performance.
Not many, but we do go out and be a month on staff outings to help build our teamwork and have fun together as a team.
