  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Analyzing data in forms of excel spreadsheets and then using power bi to get an understanding of the data. Mostly using data coming from inventory side of our warehouse.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt skills in excel and power bi to a level i never expected and also learnt about the whole warehouse project and how it is run. I have also increased my communication skills by speaking to coworkers and customers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my program a lot as there's always new projects to start and each comes with it it's own challenge in terms of the data.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program is well structured with QA training working nicely alongside my day to day activities in my workplace and the skills i learn with QA integrate well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer. This in regards to workplace work and also work towards my QA work as they can direct me in the right directions to best show evidence of the work that is required by QA.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • QA support me a lot by having a messaging system if i get stuck. i also have access to cloud academy, which has many courses on the subjects i am studying for my apprenticeship.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • QA has taught me skills about cleaning data, data presentation and then skills such as excel, power bi and soon to be SQL and python which are all helpful in my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I can attend data community events which will now be easier to access for me as ive now passed my driving test. We also have different site visit days as part of the next generation talent team.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • A great company with good work ethics and a goal of being net zero by 2050, shows that the company is looking ahead to the future to protect future generations. And are supporting of their employees.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DHL?
  • Just go for it! The next generation talent team are friendly and approachable and are always there. Furthermore they support all employees and the interview process was relaxed and felt more informal, as conversations were easy flowing so didn't feel too pressured.
