Currently, I am not doing what my job role said I would be doing as there has been a big delay in getting the relevant training to allow me to do customer calls. There is also a lack of calls coming in to my team which impacts the work I do. At the moment I am doing Excel sheet organisation and my Apprenticeship theory work.
I have learned about some of the products we offer, and have also improved my communication skills. Due to my team being an overlay team there is a lack of opportunities available to help my skills develop. However, I am in talks with my manager about this.
For the first 6 months I have struggled with the lack of practical work as it has felt more like a college course. However, it is now picking up a bit and I am enjoying the tasks I am being set.
The Apprentify programme is good and well structured. However, there is a lack of organised support for us on my team so we have been left to our own devices a lot. For the first half of my programme I've felt like a lot was wasted time.
I have raised my concerns to my manager about how my programme is going. These have been listened too and action has been put in place, however it takes along time to implement as they are so busy/not sure what is going on
Apprentify are really good at helping us with our work. They are limited with the work they can set us as we aren't doing the practical work needed to help us progress in our programme but they are helping where they can.
My job role is very different to what the Apprentify programme trains us for as our BDR role is different to normal ones. This means we learn a lot of theory but don't get to implement it in our roles which I find a shame.

I wouldn't recommend my specific course to a friend as I feel like there has been a lack of communication with ours. Some people who applied to the same job are being given different and better prospects, which we weren't told about.
Apply for more established apprenticeship programes as the Digital Sales one is new and so hasn't had any experience with apprentices before. This means a lot of learning is done on the job from the employers which negatively impacts us.
