On a day to day I am involved in a number of different projects, which are subject to change every week. As my team work agile, daily tasks could revolve around doing exploratory data analysis, research tasks or building / improving tableau dashboards.
I have developed an extensive amount of skills in my time on the apprenticeship, which only grow by the day. I am proficient in the technical skills required in my role, a few of which include data analysis, SQL & python. Not just technical, but have developed interpersonal skills also.
I am definitely enjoying my programme. Being in data analytics / science, I appreciate the difficulties and opportunities it provides, as I'm able to learn and grow at a very fast pace" The combination of academic knowledge and practical application sparks my interest, motivating me to excel and contribute to the projects that my team are involved in.
The program itself is well-organized. The university's academic curriculum follows a sequential order, covering fundamentals initially and advancing into more advanced topics over time. I appreciate this structure as it allows me to simultaneously complement the skills I learn at work with the university curriculum in appropriate timing.
I receive extensive support from my employer, with my team always on standby to assist with tasks. Additionally, my manager provides amazing support, enabling me to perform effectively, both at the workplace and at university.
I receive a significant amount of support from my training provider while pursuing my qualifications. They offer guidance, resources, and assistance whenever needed, ensuring I have the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed in my studies. Additionally, I'm able to schedule one-on-one sessions with tutors for clarification on any uncertainties, and they regularly host dedicated Q&A sessions for us.
I find my qualification from the training provider beneficial to some extent in enhancing my performance in my role. However, the majority of my performance improvement stems from workplace involvement with up-to-date technologies and trainings, areas where the university curriculum lags. Despite this, I acknowledge the efforts of the university in catching up, as I have witnessed from recent lectures.
Yes, this where I say my workplace excels in providing extra-curricular activities. There are various options such as youth networking events organized by the youth committee and internal football tournaments. Additionally, my team hosts numerous social events both online and outside of work, contributing to a relaxed and engaging workplace culture.
Yes
I highly recommend my Vodafone to a friend, due to the comprehensive skill development opportunities I have embraced on my time during the apprenticeship. From technical to non-technical skills, I've had the chance to grow extensively. The abundance of growth opportunities ensures I stay updated with the latest technologies, making it an ideal environment for continuous learning and professional development. Furthermore, the workplace culture fosters a sense of inclusivity special to us youth, making it a fulfilling and rewarding experience for apprentices like myself.
My advice to those applying to Vodafone would be to thoroughly evaluate their personal values against our company's spirit values. Our values are a key part to our everyday operations, so alignment is crucial for a great apprenticeship experience. Whilst the apprenticeship program is rewarding, it can also be challenging. However if you believe that your values resonate with Vodafone's spirit behaviors, then I'd strongly recommend you to apply to Vodafone.
