I help support the recruitment and delivery of Channel 4's Early Careers Schemes/ I also manage and create content for our 4Skills social media accounts. My role involves manning the Apprenticeship/4Skills email inboxes, attending careers fairs, shortlisting candidates and creating assets/video content for our various social media channels.
Since starting my apprenticeship, I have developed and aquired many skills. Having hosted and manned various talking events, I am now confident in public speaking and presenting which was one of my weak points when I first joined. I also have an understanding of the recruitment process and candidate lifecycle, competently shortlisting and assessing applicants.
I am very happy in my job role. The workplace culture is very relaxes and my team are super supportive. I get many opporunities to be creative and am always acknowledged for the work I do.
The entire recruitment process through the onboarding was very supportive. My inital training and induction was well organised and I feel like I have a clear structure to my weeks
My whole team is incredibly supportive, my line manager always checks-in and ensures I haven't got too much on my plate. The benefits and other pastoral support at Channel 4 is great.
My tutor is very reliable and supportive. She is understanding of my workload and is willing to be flexible on deadlines if needs be. She always responds to any queries I have quickly and effectively.
I'd say pretty well. I gain a more holistic understanding of the recruitment process, including how to communicate with candidates and deliver a better customer service experience.
I have had many opportunities to attend networking events as well as careers fairs or hosting our own career days. The Early Careers Team often set up apprentice socials too so we can catch up with eachother. One of the other perks is getting to attend exclusive screenings and panels/talks from Channel 4 Talent.
