An average day involves attending a quick briefing about the work I need to complete such as helping to prepare tax returns or tax computations. There are also regular team meetings or training sessions for me to attend.
I've developed many new skills such as my ability to network with different people within the office. I have also learnt a lot about tax and been able to complete an array of more complex work.
I really enjoy my apprenticeship, it's very challenging but also rewarding! The exams are difficult and you are given a lot of responsibility early on. There are lots of travel opportunities to visit PwC's other offices!
The programme is well structured and there is a good balance between studying for your exams but also client work within the office.
There is lots of support available, we are given talent coaches that help us learn and develop. Many people within the office are incredibly helpful and answer my queries that I may have they're also good at explaining things whenever I'm struggling to understand.
Our training provider is very supportive as we can ask questions online at anytime which are quickly answered. Our resources are thorough and clear.
Lots of things that I've learnt from my professional qualification I can apply to my job.
There are lots of extra- curricular activities such as sports networks e.g netball training sessions which are free. There are also lots of volunteering opportunities such as volunteering at a homeless shelter, PwC pays for the food and we can help deliver it to the homeless.
Yes
PwC is a great place to learn and develop, you're constantly being pushed to develop and improve however, there is lots of support available.
Think about what unique qualities you may have that somebody else may not have, that will help to set you aside from others. Always look to improve and develop and just be authentically you!
