Yes, the apprenticeship course content is directly linked to my role. Thius has allowed me to progress and get a promotion. I can use the skills, training and apprenticeship resources directly into my role.
I have really enjoyed the apprenticeship, although this is a big ask whilst learning a new role, studying and running a family home. That said the benefits of completing the course are significant and worth the time and effort required.
I had a change of provider part way through the apprenticeship, after some settling in time this did settle and I am happy with the structure of the course set up provided by both my organisation and the trainign provider.
My employer is very supportive of my apprenticeship, they give me autonomy in manageing my time. I have protected time for my apprenticeship work and again I have control of this to make sure that I get the assigned time on a weekly basis.
Monthly sessions when completing the course content/assignments, as well as 10 weekly 1:1's with my line manager and tutor and 1:1's with myself and my tuor. My tutor is accessible at other times should I need them.
This course diectly links in with my current role and it has definatley helped me to progress.
There are provisions avaiable but I dont attend any other than departmental social meals out occassionally.
