My role is to support the delivery of customer insight across the Premier Inn brands, driving decisions across many business areas from product and proposition to Brand Marketing and Operations. I work alongside my colleagues to run an online research community, deliver market and competitor insights and support delivery in many research projects.
I now have a solid understanding of Market Research with particular focus on quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative data was a particular development area for me and my apprenticeship has supported my skills and confidence in this area.
I have really enjoyed my programme and have built on existing skills as well as new skills. The programme encourages you to use real job examples which helps bring it all to life - it also makes you realise just how much skill I already am putting into practice.
I have found the organisation/structure not as good as it could be, but I am a very organised/structured person so this may not impact someone as much as myself. It is also worth noting that this is expected with a fairly new programme. I do believe this will be improved over time.
I am given time to study for my apprenticeship which is great, and I am always encouraged to get involved in tasks which may not necessarily sit within my role if it will help and support my apprenticeship learning.
I have had lots of support from my training provider, I also receive 121 monthly calls which I find really valuable. I also am able to reach out to my training provider at any time and I always receive responses straight away.
The qualification has already given me lots of confidence in my role and has been highlighted through my manager and colleagues.
I am lucky that I can attend professional networking events if and when I want to, which again also helps support my role and confidence within my role.
