As a Software Developer apprentice, my role consists of creating and testing high-quality code. At sky we use numerous programming languages and software development tools.
Yes as we learn a lot of different tech stacks Im learning a lot of new languages. And the languages that I knew prior, im now better at.
I love it, especially in the environment I'm in at Sky. I feel like Im playing a game at times. As Im always problem solving and when finding the solution it feels like I'm completing something and going onto the next problem.
It is very well organised. Both my apprenticeship organisers and Sky work hand in hand making our lives way easier by structuring a plan for our whole apprenticeship.
I receive a load of support. At Sky there are so many people around you to help you through this process of completing your apprenticeship.
Im receiving a lot of support from my training providers. Any questions I have they're able to answer and I can always book a call with them if I need them urgently. They make time for me and the rest of the apprentices.
Yes
Everything about it is amazing, it doesnt feel like you're working an office job at times. This is because its more of a big community that are all willing to help each other to get a task done.
Be confident, Be yourself. Sky want to see your personality. Also show the willingness to learn!
