Confidence has developed massively through communicating and expanding my network.
I enjoy my programme a lot as its something I have always been interested in and everyone is so welcoming and supportive.
The programme is very well organised through weekly catch ups with my line manager about my tasks, university etc. As well as Balfour Beatty's Early Careers programme which allows me to network with other people in the same role.
A lot of support
Loads of support. My line manager helps me with my university assignments ranging from procurement to time management. There is also monthly catch-ups with my line manager and a representative from the university.
My university degree as a quantity surveying apprentice enhances your problem-solving skills, technical competence, and ethical standards. It provides fundamental knowledge, industry exposure, and communication skills crucial for success in the role of a quantity surveyor.
There are many charity events such as a dragon boat racing for water aid. There are also many affinity networks for things such as a cultural appreciation and LGBTQ
