My day-day role consist of managing subcontract packages on our scheme, I look after 8 subcontractors with doing things such as paying them, issue instructions / Early warnings & compensation events.
I have learnt alot in this role, I came into the role with zero construction knowledge and every day find myself in conversations about construction techniques that I never knew I picked up.
I really enjoy my programme as it is equally as rewarding as it is hard work, there isn't excessive stress placed on me and I am giving correct amounts of time to learn slowly and build confidence in the role.
Very well, with progress meetings every semester, we feel that if we ever have any issues there is consistent support and there is a clear obvious path way to guide us through.
The employer are very supportive and are more than happy to provide assistance whenever is needed, there is ties between BB and university so any issues we raise are always taken up the chain.

We have often times playing football as a site team, or when a colleague leaves or is celebrating we will always get together as a site team, it is a real close team

I would recommend anyone to apply for Balfour Beatty as they as took me on as 0 experience, however they have put no pressure onto me and are slowly and encouraging me to get better in my role
To come into a role and be ready to learn, there is opportunities everywhere and as long as you are willing to get on board they will train you as much you like in whatever they can
