My role currently is in Sourcing. This is where we deal with suppliers. There is a buying side, fulfilment side and initiatives side. I sit in initiatives where I am involved in supplier transitions, competitive cost outs, legislations and orderbook running.
Yes, I've only been here for 6 months however, I've already learnt so much. My role involves alot of excel use, therefore I have learnt how to pull and analyse data in an effective way. I have developed my social skills by talking with people everyday that vary in ages, gender, ethnicities.
I enjoy my programme to a significant extent. I really enjoy coming into work, meeting new people and having a rotation where I feel comfortable with my managers. I also love the community with the apprentices. GE makes sure to encourage the social side of the apprenticeship where we build relationships with the people on our scheme. I have enjoyed all the social activities so far.
I would say very organised. Every six months we rotate roles to ensure that we get full experience of the business. Therefore the structure is very well suited for the scheme as it makes sure we develop as much knowledge and growth as possible.
I receive alot of support from my line manager, rotation manager and employees around me.
A fair amount for us to achieve our qualification.
Our qualification is in leadership and management which the content definitely can be applied to our rotations.
Yes, there are sports clubs, socials and commities. GE encourages social at work.
Yes
Because it is an all rounder. It is brilliant for personal growth but also providing an environment where you can feel comfortable and relate to employees.
Be yourself. There is no such thing as silly questions.
