Doing biology chemistry and physics delivering practicals to lessons. Mostly biology getting things ready as fresh as possible or chemistry preparing solutions for a practical. Physics is often just electricity or light trays which are already prepared.
I have learnt how to manage stock and basic maintenance of some scientific equipment (multimeters, colorimeters, balances and microscopes). I have also improved on some lab techniques like titrations and standard solution preparation
I enjoy the programme quite a lot. I have learnt both in practice and in theory, so it's not just the theoretical knowledge, it is also practical experience
It is very well organised, I have meeting with my manager ever few weeks and I have tutor meeting every 4 weeks, with work set for the next session. We can also go over anything I didn't understand any time I have a question
I know the support structures are in place for everyone, however I haven't had to use them so far.
I get lots of support from my tutor, they are very understanding if I need anything whenever. They are happy to help with the work that is set of required or if I need another explanation
I understand why health and safety measures are in place and the laws around labs and chemical storage. It helps to know how important some things are in different situations, such as quality and standards being very important in industry but not considered in schools.
We have a half termly team meal where the technician team goes out for a meal out.
Yes

Be aware of deadlines and do little work often and don't wait until the last minute to do things.
