Talking with other departments to understand data needs. Supporting delivery of these requests through data arngineering, data science and data analysis. I use tools such as Google cloud platform, Python, MATLAB, Tableau and Gitlab
I have learned coding from very little previous experience. I have built up a good forward development mindset through all the projects I have leaded and taken part in.
I highly enjoy all aspects of the program, especially the work aspect as I do pick up new skills and knowledge on a daily basis. And I can use this in future projects and share with other apprentices I mentor. Overall, the stress free and easy communication lines are favourable.
As the second cohort of the degree program, I believe the structure is improving for new apprentices. Therefore, I believe my comment would not reflect the new style of university to work structure. However, I can say that the number of weeks dedicated to university and the time for assignments was sufficient.
My employer regularly has 1:1 meetings with me and is open to any concerns or development pathways I would like to work on. This has helped me to receive tasks to exercise skills I want to develop.
I am entitled to study days every week. This has helped me keep on top of my work and execute assignments to the best of my ability.
I gain real work experience in a project that actually matters to the business and positively impacts the end product.
There are many early careers social events. It is just a case of signing up to events you are interested in and want to get involved in with like minded people, who are also new to the apprenticeship, graduate programs and work life at JLR.
