My role at work is to keep children safe, and promote the best type of education and learning that I possibly can to the children under my care. I go above and beyond to make sure it is a happy and safe environment and that the children are getting exactly what they need.
I have learnt so much over the past year, I went from having very little knowledge in childcare, to knowing almost everything and feeling so confident in myself that I know all of the workplace rules, policies and overall childcare knowledge thanks to the webinars that I attend through Realise.
I really enjoy my programme. I tried college before my apprenticeship and I realised it wasn't for me and its not for everyone, this apprenticeship really helped me decide what I want to do with my life and I would definitely recommend it to other people if they are thinking about a change.
My programme is very well organised and I always feel like if I need help, then I know exactly who to go to and they are always so happy and welcome to helping you with whatever you need. In fact they encourage you to ask for help, even if only for small things.
My employer's have been amazing so far at helping me excel. They helped to put me on this course and wanted me to become qualified because they believed that I had it in me, and I'm so happy I managed to prove them right and I am now an amazing practitioner.
I receive lots of support from them as i know that whenever i need any help and have any issues, they will do everything they can to help me, no matter if the problem is only small.
I believe that it has grown my knowledge so much over the past year and without it i wouldn't be where i am now, i feel so confident in my knowledge of work.
