To help members of my team with testing different financial statement line items. I have daily interactions with my team internally as well as with the client via email or calls. Daily tasks include using excel to do testing.
I have learnt to navigate PwC softwares and applications as well as developed my Excel skills by using more formulas. I have developed my communication skills by listening to how more experience members on my team communicate with managers as well as the client.
I very much enjoyed the programme. I have been able to enhance my people and technical/digital skills. It has allowed me to put into practice the ideas and theories that I learnt within my university course.
It is well structured and organised. Firstly I enjoy the fact that I am on placement for 3 months a year, allowing me to have a balance of work and university experience. I also enjoyed how we were instantly put on a team and welcomed into the office.
I have received lots of support from the employer through its more experiences employees. I had someone in the in charge role with me that I was able to continuously ask questions to. I had a career coach too who helped me with admin tasks such as receiving feedback.
My learning for my qualifications is provided via the University of Reading. The lectures have supported me greatly and have provided additional support sessions which has also helped. I have been able to talk to other employees within PwC to gain some advice on completing the exams.
It has provided a foundation of knowledge that i have been able to use within my work. Additionally vice versa I will be able to apply the processes learnt while working to deepen my understanding of my university modules.
Yes, I have joined the Muslim Network which has supported me throughout the month of Ramadan. I have also attended a bowling social event which was great to meet other people besides my team within the office.

It is a great firm to start off your career as they are caring and are able to explain the tasks/processes well and in depth
The Flying Start programmes are are really good balance of university and work, therefore if you feel you do not want to go straight into working full time when this university course is a good option.
