I work as Learning and Development Coordinator in the Human Resources team. I currently look after the UK&I employees in terms of training and development, performance management and project based work such as organsing large corporate events like Growing Here Week and Early Careers Inductions.
Since commencing my employment at Mondelez International i have developed immensely in a range of skills such as interpersonal savvy as i have een interacting with colleagues across the globe and meeting different people from different functions within the business. Furthermore, i have developed in skills such as dealing with ambiguity as i have dealt with many unknown situations and tasks and figured out how to do things as i went along. This has been a great learning expereince for me as i was not used to doing things in this way before.
The school leaver programme has been fantastic with Mondelez International. I have been given endless opportunities to grow and develop and have learnt a huge amount from the business and from my manager so far. I enjoy the variety of the job and the fact that every day is different and i am always learning something new!! I could not fault the programme or my role!
Very valued!! It was clear from the start how valued 'we' as school leavers are by the business. Mondelez have made a huge investment in us and they really drive the philosophy of us being future talent for the business. I am very much looking forward to my career here at Mondelez as the culture is fantastic!!
As we are the first year of school leavers at Mondelez International, it has been a learning curve for all!! However, overall i could not fault the structure of the programme. We have a good amount of study time of work to enable us to complete some of our study during the week and ensure we still have a work/life balance. We also get great support from managers and other colleagues within the business using their expertise to help us in some of the topic areas!!
Aston business school have given us a lot of support since commencing our degree with them in October. They appreciate that we have a full time job and accomodate this accordingly. They are also very supportive with exam support and offering extra onsite tuition if need be. Finally, the structure of coursework and exams has worked very well so far and our lecturers have been very fair in the guidelines that they set.
I recieve a lot of support from both the business and in particular my manager. We have a good amount of study time off work and my manager is very flexible with how and when i take this time according to work load. I also get a lot of support with certain topics that i am studying and my manager will often give me names of colleagues who may be able to help me in the areas which is fantastic.
Despite the salay being fairly low currently especially if indiciduals like myself have a house to run etc, i fully appreciate we are having our degree funded by the business and therefore that has to impact our salary. With that in mind i am fairly satisfied with the salary as i appreciate the degree is a big investment.
Yes there are lots of opportunities at Mondelez outside of work in terms of faciltiies, activities and job flexibility. We have an onsite gym which we can use, subsidised canteen and onsite doctors/dentists which are all great extra's outside of the day-to-day job. In addition, the business encourages employees to volunteer and i have completed 3 volunteering activities already which have been fantastic and have helped me in getting to know other people from the business. There are also great social opportunities to get together with colleagues during lunch breaks or after work.
Yes
Mondelez International are a fantastic employer that really cares about Early Careers and recruiting young talent and investing in them for the future. I am constantly reminded of this everyday at work and i have always felt valued for by the business which is great. It is also a great opportunity to gain a degree whilst having a full time job and gaining the hands on experience. These two things go hand in hand and really aid your development.
-If you are looking to gain Adult to Adult relationships in your next stage of your career then Mondelez is the perfect place for you. You will be valued and looked after and your hard work is recognised at work. -During the application stage remember to be yourself and let your true energy shine through in the interview as that will show your determination and commitment to the company.
