I am an associate. Daily tasks include organising documents, arranging payments and communicating with creditors.
I have attended various workshops which have developed skills such as negotiation. Further, formal training has developed my knowledge and understanding of Accountancy and Assuance. I have also developed skills using internal accounting software.
I enjoy the content of my work. The atmosphere is very sociable.
The work I perform is important, and although lower tier, I am always provided with an overview of the bigger picture.
We are given a detailed breakdown of time and dates for the various elements of the course (split between formal and on-the-job learning)
My training provider is always of assistance should I require help.
I receive much support, financially and otherwise, from my employer.
I am able to live comfortably, though I suspect the course's financial structure is designed to support those living with parents.
There are many social and corporate events.
Yes
Company culture is excellent. I feel supported, and have the opporuntity to have an excellent career.
Keep up to date with Business news (by reading Guardian, FT or other broadsheets). Practice the competency tests!!!! Do your research on the firm, perhaps read annual reports for specific client information as this will impress during interviews. I would like to have been told what to expect more during the Assesment Day, with regards to the written assessment. Notably, 80% of the material you are to read is irrelevant, you are being assessed on your ability to extract the important information!
