Involved in client facing activities as well as more centralized tasks in order to help the team with small tasks to slowly give me an insight and lead me into the retrocession market. As well as this I have to complete apprenticeship tasks such as workshops and exams in order to progress with my qualifcations
I have learnt multiple new skills like how to use excel effectively and include new formulas in order to speed up tasks. As well as this I have developed my personal skills and confidence by continuously being involved in both colleague and client interactions.
I really enjoy my programme. My day to day role is very interesting and my team are very welcoming and easy to learn from. The davies learning is the only part of the programme i struggle to enjoy as I believe a lot of the tasks are not relevant and boring.
My programme is pretty well organised due to the fact i face both on the job learning as well as learning via the exam part of the role. However I wish I was able to spend more time on exams rather than focusing on irrelevant Davies admin
I receive quite a lot of assistance from my employer via boith on the job training and support when it comes to completing exam whether that be in the form of a study day or time to attend a workshop in order to assist me towards my exams.
I receive a moderate amount of support towards my exams such as workshops, 1 to 1 sessions and also group coaching sessions. The timing of the programme has been a problem with me due to the fact they do not really take into consideration when I am severely busy in my day to day role
My qualification is able to give me a braoder understanding to the wider part of my role giving me a good understanding of the insurance market and how my role plays a part in the process. As well as this it gives me an insight into other job roles in the market
There are multiple extra curricular activities during my work such as football teams, team drinks and other professional networking events. As well as this there are many talks to attend in order to meet colleagues who are in the company but different teams.
