Continuous improvement role in a logistics environment focusing on working with all stakeholders on site to improve site processes & procedures to ensure the operation runs more lean & efficient.
Utilising the Six Sigma framework along with established lean practises to make processes less wasteful and more predictable.
Thoroughly enjoying it, not had any real exposure to Six Sigma but I love the methodical nature behind it and the tools, processes and logic it encourages the individual to use.
Programme is organised into clear modules, very easy to follow.
A good amount as part of the apprenticeship requires being given the time to carry out an improvement project on site using the Six Sigma & Lean methodologies - employer has been supportive so far
Training provider provides monthly lectures and a dedicated expert who I can contact if I require assistance with the assignments set in the modules I need to complete for the apprenticeship
100% this will make give me more expertise in the field of Continuous Improvement and will also improve my critical thinking skills along with problem solving etc.
There are some activities available but I don't ,make great use of them due to family circumstances.
