  • Yes.

  • I wasn’t content with the program. Can’t say I enjoyed it, but i didn’t dislike it either.

  • It was not particularly well organised or structured, but it was the first apprenticeship of this sort done by the AA so it was to be expected.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received support when I needed it and in a timely manner.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • At the beginning very little, but once we got a person that was assigned to manage our work it was better.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Very well. A lot better than if I hadn’t of done it and acquired a HGV license by myself.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not really. It’s difficult to arrange with the shift patterns we work.

  • Don’t want to work with my friends.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to The AA?
  • Seriously think about and consider the impact that the shifts and working times required by the AA will have on you. It doesn’t work for everybody.
