Management accounting role which includes deciding how and where to cross-charge costs using both external and internal reports. I do lots of different aspects of management accounting and deal with many internal and external stakeholders.
I have developed good communication skills and my time management has improved allowing me to meet deadlines etc. I have learnt lots of accounting knowledge and efficient ways of processing large sets of data. My presentation skills have been enhanced by ample opportunities to present and my business report writing skills are a lot better too.
The company has a good culture and there are numerous funded events for us which are fun and allow us to extend our networks. The offices are nice and the people are always willing to help if you need it. The job allows for a good work life balance which is encouraged by the company.
I think it is well organised as there are lots of scheme leads aswell as other members who assist at various stages/ times in the apprenticeship. We have regular checkups and plan how to improve which is due to the structure of the programme. We have clear targets and timelines which are realistic and we are aided to achieve.
I receive quite a lot of support from many people on and off the scheme. There are various well being sessions aswell as catch up chats with people on the scheme which is useful.
I receive a decent amount of support. I have a talent coach who helps me to develop my skills and aid my learning process. The tutors running the learning sessions are also supportive and help whenever I need it.
It massively helps as it provides almost all of the knowledge which is applicable to doing my management accounting role to the best of my abilities. It helps provide the foundations of why and how I do things.
There are monthly graduate events, quarterly finance graduate days, sports days, away days, after work team socials, winter dinners etc. They are all really good fun and a great chance to build new connections across the business.
Yes
