My job title is a logistics apprentice. The job consists of assisting current employees in their jobs while at the same time learning exactly what it is they are doing, how they are doing it and understanding why.
While i have been employeed by Aldi i have been on a folk lift course. I have also been on a first aider course and racking inspection course. My people skills have improved when it comes to dealing with jobs that have to be done and have to be well explained to be carried out perfectly. My confidence has improved in this job role over my time here.
I enjoy the day to day contact with down to earth men and woman on the warehouse floor.
i understand the position in which an apprentice is but even the little jobs have to be done for the whole company to work. Everyone starts off in pretty much the same position and our given the jobs nobody else wants to do at some point.
At the moment i am currently in between year 1 and 2 so at the moment there isnt much structure to comment on.
Well same again i am in between year 1 and 2 so currently i do not have a training provider.
The employers are constantly in contact telling us what we are doing well and sometimes what we can improve on.
At 19 my cost of living isnt that much. The money that i am paid provides me the oppurtunity of a bit of freedom to do what i want with it.
The company goes to local high school to inform people about the apprenticeship and the oppurtunities it offers.
Yes
The company pays well and has oppurtunities for everyone.
go for it.
