I am the individual for responsible for our HR systems, data integrity and managing HR Projects for CEVA Logistics ensuring that our systems transfer data correctly and managing and process and policy changes.
Yes, I am learning key skills to become a proficient project manager through not only my apprenticeship but by practicing my learnings in the workplace. Whilst I believe I have the underlying skillset, by learning recognised standards I am gaining confidence in my ability to put them into practice.
I am really enjoying my learning session with Linden Tutor, the learning is relevant to me and CEVA as they are 1to1 sessions and my Tutor has taught others at CEVA. My apprenticeship only has the final deadline which personally I struggle with as I prefer multiple shorter deadlines.
Each session has a clear structure. A catch up on work completed between sessions and overall progress followed by the sessions focus and ending with objectives before the next session to complete.
I gain a lot of support from my manger who ensures I have exposure to develop the skills that I am learning. We regularly met to see what skills I have little evidence in and what I can get involved in within the business to develop these.
A good level of support. Outside of our arranged sessions I can email with any query that I may have instead of waiting for a formal session and this has been really usefull.
My career aspiration is to be a HR system project manager. The skills I am learning on my Project Management Apprenticeship are giving me the skills and confidence so when an opportunity arises I will be prepared with the knowledge and skills required from a project management perspective.
Yes, I like to get involved in the arranged CSR activities as well as being a CSR champion. My direct team have occasional social outings in our own time which I like to attend if I can around home responsibilities.
Yes
Our team are dedicated to delivering high performance and there is a mutual understanding that when we all work together that we can achieve brilliant results. It is a collaborative HR function where we are all accessible to chat things through, even from outside your direct team.
Understand the role you're applying for and have demonstratable experience. Ask lots of questions about the company, the role and the team you'd be joining to make sure it is the right fit for you.
