I work on reception greeting visitors, taking phone calls and ensuring the immediate reception area is kept neat and tidy. I also complete general administration tasks including rotas, recruitment, finances, filing and archiving amongst other tasks to keep the care home running smoothly.
Developed my customer service skills and have learnt many different admin skills such as generating invoices, understanding policies, recruitment processes and petty cash reconciliation amongst others. I have also further developed my computer skills particularly with Microsoft Office and communications via email.
I am enjoying my programme a lot, I have learnt many new skills for business administration and I have been given opportunities to put these skills into practice within my current job.
Well structured, I have enough time to complete my assignments to my best ability and I know what to expect.
Well supported, I am given plenty of training opportunities to develop my skills.
Good support, my questions are answered when I have any and I receive extensive feedback both from assignments and in my tutorials.
The qualification has really helped me understand the administration role better and I able to assist the admin with more of her jobs through all the skills I have developed.
I will sometimes get involved with events that are put on for residents, families and visitors.
