I started with Early careers recruitment doing assessment centres, admin, career fairs and helping at events. I have now moved on to colleague experience where I manage our professional studies programmes as well as social impact for the UK.
I have developed my administrative skills, my formal writing, networking, public speaking and project management skills.
I have enjoyed getting to experience a range of events within HR and the early careers such as our diversity events, running inductions, attending award ceremonies and careers fairs. I have also enjoyed managing projects for the first time such as social impact, levy gifting, Early careers apprenticeships and more.
As the first HR apprentice I feel as though my programme could have been better organised within HR, however, my overall apprenticeship programme including other apprentices has been we organised with informative sessions and coffee roulette with our senior leaders.
My employer has been very supportive with both my career progression and my professional studies.
