Uploading/chasing leads, serving over the counter, answering inbound calls, making outbound calls to the account base, sending promotions out via email and text etc, picking up emails, ensuring QA issues are uploaded. Overall managing customer enquiries.
I have learnt many skills, general confidence, customer service, MS, people skills etc
I thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship, I did not enjoy the length it took to complete it as my trainer was pretty incompetent when it came to turning up for visits etc. Howdens were brilliant though.
Lacked communication, from both Managers and the trainer I had. The work itself was pretty straightforward.
I did get sufficient support from my employer, sometimes I think it was forgotten that I was only an apprentice but overall was adequate.
My trainer was decent in terms of any questions I had she would answer as quickly as she could and was normally accessible over the phone etc.
To be honest I don't think much came from the training/programme it was down to gaining experience through the depot/colleagues helping me through.
To my knowledge, not really. As a depot we occasionally go for a drink after work, I know Howdens do a rounders day as well as go karting etc.
Yes
Howdens is a brilliant company to work for, the benefits are outstanding. As a company they do look after you. The only thing I would say is working a Saturday but at the moment is only a half day which is okay.
To be open-minded. Like any company there are good things and there are bad but overall the good outweighs the bad.
