I work as an Assistant Accountant, which involves posting journals to the general ledger, completing reconciliations and producing reports on a monthly basis. I am also involved in ADHOC pieces of work, such as making changes to outdated processes, or pulling together data when required.
Yes. I have learnt how to use Excel and I have worked on building strong relationships in a professional capacity,
I have really enjoyed my programme. I have been given a sufficient amount of time to study outside or my working hours, which has allowed me to feel more confident and supported in each of my exams. The course itself is interesting and relevant to my work.
Very well. I was given a clear planner at the start of my programme, which provided me with a guideline of how often I should be sitting an exam and how long I should give myself to prepare for each exam.
A good amount. I was given independence when deciding when to book my exams which I liked, but there was also support when I asked for it. It was never a problem to take additional time off to help me with my studies and my employer always saw my exams as the priority, fluctuating my workload to allow for this.
A lot. My skills coach was fantastic and would always be there to help me whenever I needed it. They were understanding when I needed to make changes to my planner and would do all that they could to accommodate for this.
My qualification has given me the technical knowledge I need to apply in certain situations in the workplace.
I am not aware of any.
