I help my manager to keep on top of the trading and ranged space in our TradePoint box stores. I also help to organise trade days and surprise and delight events for trade members throughout the year.
Developing my leadership skills, my commercial knowledge, process knowledge and building relationships.
I think I could enjoy the programme more if there was more clarity. Other apprenticeships have a lot more support between the workshops and handing in work - ours does not give you a lot of clarity.
It is organised in that I know when my workshops are and I know the structure. However starting was difficult as knowing what tasks you have to complete and next steps was not clear. No communication between people running the workshop & the coaches.
I receive a good amount of support from my manager, I have plenty of time during the work week to complete my OTJ hours and she is arranging extra support for me to gain what I need to throughout the course.
I receive a good amount of support from my tutor - but the people running the workshop could do more. They are only reading from a worksheet rather than having engaging content and do not talk us through next steps and do not seem to know the processes.
It is helping me to develop the skills I need to step up in the future. it is encouraging me to step our of my comfort zone and push my development.
There are several networking events and sports teams etc. if I wanted to join.
Yes
I've done well here to develop myself and have worked my way up from an entry level role. There are also many opportunities, like with the apprenticeship.
It is a great place to work with really friendly people, you just need to throw yourself into your role and also into other activities around the business as there are a lot of great people to meet.
