  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I manage a team of 4 including a process supervisor, with varying levels of experience alongside my day to day job of managing the bad debt of our ULP and sublet estate.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Both! I have been a manager for 20 years in different roles and I feel I have a good understanding of how to manage my team, however a lot of those skills have been borrowed rather than learned / taught so it is good to really understand why we do things and put them into practice.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Marston's to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Its a great place to work - I was only going to stay 6 months and I've been here 9 years. Its inclusive, progressive and you get out of this business what you put in. I'm never short of opportunities that stretch me and can see the impact that I have on a day to day basis, both on my team and my day job.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marston's?
