My role involves completing daily, weekly, monthly data analysis on financial crime within Nationwide Building Society.
I have learnt a few new skills including the basics of a couple of new programming languages and developed existing skills that I already has as well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my program so far. It has been very rewarding and I have felt that QA have supported me throughout
The programme was very well organised with dates sent out at the start of when my live events were so that I could then schedule these in with my workplace to ensure I could attend them. The modules were spaced well enough apart to allow me to digest information learned and retain it.
My employer gives me the support and time needed to complete everything I need to with my apprenticeship. I am allocated 1 day a week where I complete this work and I am not interrupted during this day. This typically tends to be the same day every week but it does move sometimes according to business needs.
QA have been very supportive throughout this process. My tutor has always helped and guided me where I needed it and given me advice on how to take my pieces of work to the next level.
This qualification/learning has definitely helped me in my role and without completing this course I wouldn't be in the position I am today as i wouldn't have the knowledge that I gained from this course.
There are numerous extra curricular activities that people can get involved in if they want to. None of them are compulsory and all are listed on our internal intranet site.
Yes
I feel Nationwide is a great place to work who look after their staff and are genuinely trying to do better and be better.
Be yourself and be honest about your skills. Nationwide is keen to find the right people for the right job so even if you don't have all the skills but you are the right person you still stand a good chance and skills can be learnt whilst working.
