My role is an apprentice for level 3 nursery teacher. I work 4 days a week in the Cumberland Road Nursery, in the baby room and I go to LEYF academy one day every week for studying. My job is about making an enabling environment for children to grow and develop.
My communication and language is progressed as English is not my first language. I learnt a lot about health and safety, safeguarding, child development, supporting children's needs, development theories and first aids. I am so confident and knowledgeable in caring and working with birth to five years old children.
I really enjoyed learning while using what I was learning on my day to day work at the nursery. I am actually planning to continue with my learning while working to get a level 6 qualification with London Early Years Foundation.
According to my experience and humble knowledge, I think it is amazing.
My employer has been very supportive all throughout my studying times.
My training provider has been very supportive all throughout my studying times.
My qualification in childcare can greatly benefit me to be a confident nursery teacher and help me perform better in my role. It provides me with the knowledge and skills necessary to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. It also helps me to understand child development, learning theories, and best practices for teaching and managing behavior.
As I recall, London Early Years Foundation has a yearly conference that gather all the 40+ nurseries in one place to share experiences and inspirations.
