My current role is software engineer apprentice. This role is involved in project work, writing portfolios, Off-job-training(online and offline), learning, and some certification course. I work with senior engineers.
I have learnt and developed technical skills such as Java, typeScript, Databases, Python, React etc.
I really enjoy this role because it is a on job training program where I am learning and applying my knowledge in real time.
This Apprenticeship programme is very organised. There is a time line to complete each assignment and every 2 months we have progress review.
My employer support me in each stage of this programme. Whenever I need some hours for my self-study then my work mentor always allow me and support me in this. They do regular checking.
My training provider always in a touch. Whenever I need any clarification they always prompt to answer without any delay. They do progress review each month. They conduct residential training for us where they provide 3-day technical training.
The technical training really helped me. I learnt Java, python, Databases, etc in that training course which is helping me in my current project.
I am a part of women in Tech group and I have attained some conferences where I have connected with other tech professionals.

Lloyds Banking Group is a great place to work. LBG always helps its employee to learn and grow. LBG is a best organisation for a person who really wants to touch the sky in his/her career.
In my opinion, if someone wants career progression whenever they are ready. They should join LBG because there are huge opportunities for everyone to learn and grow in their career. LBG helped me to changed my career and given me an opportunity to work in tech without having previous work experience in tech via apprenticeship programme. I will be always grateful for this.
