Carrying out programme based tasks within my allocated team, my line manager will designate tasks/ meetings for me to assist chairing to begin to have experience in managing contractors and liaising with clients.
My time management skills have definitely developed, completing university assignments and balancing this alongside with daily tasks pushed me to carefully plan out my week.
There are opportunities available to network with other apprentices/ graduates, we have regular training days for both self-development and career progression.
When there are any concerns, I feel confident approaching my line manager/ a member of our team in raising this. Solutions are readily provided to aid my progression.
UCEM has been great in helping to balance out tasks with activities, my Apprenticeship Outcomes Officer (AOO) has been especially helpful in understanding where I need to develop more and who to approach if I feel I need more diversity in what I do.
With the specific construction in law elements, I've definitely seen a direct link in my day-to-day roles in managing client contractual obligations. The management theories learnt have shown me the most effective ways to lead and manage activities.
There are regular networking events organised monthly within teams, sectors and regional offices.

Overall, the opportunities presented are great and voicing personal changes you wish to have are relatively easy. The culture is friendly and accepting, networks are available to help you meet new people with similar interests.
