I am on the People Graduate scheme and in the 2 year programme, I will take on 3 different roles. I am currently in the benefits team looking after employee benefits and the processes/tasks that go with that.
I have learnt how to manage stakeholders and various streams of communication. Presenting to internal and external stakeholders has also been a developed skill in my role.
It has been very insightful, I enjoy learning about different areas of the business and how it connects to People Professional qualifications.
There is a clear structure to the programme and the tasks of the apprenticeship are easy to work through.
I am given the time I need to complete my apprenticeship tasks every week and I can reach out to whoever I need to for any questions that I may have.
They are available by email regularly and hold workshops regularly to set us up for the next part of the assessments. Everyone at Babington is very knowledgeable so they have lots of resources available to share.
It gives me more context into the way that my organization and role fits into the 'standard' way of working and whether we differ much. I can compare this organization to others and draw conclusions related to performance and expectations etc.
Yes there are volunteering opportunities regularly, colleague support networks, graduate events and socials, professional events related to my role - hosted by external stakeholders.
Yes
Very supportive environment and there is always room for growth.
