I have been professionally trained in checking in and boarding passenger who travel with BA. This includes doc checks , seat arrangements , tagging bags , lounge entry and more challenging situations the airport faces.
I have learnt digital skills when it comes to understanding systems the airport uses. I have developed my people skills as I come across different people daily.
I enjoy the programme as it has given me a starting point in a potential career in aviation.
At the beginning it was not well structured however the team has amended this and had made obvious changes to help us as apprentices.
I have lots of sources of communication and know who to go to for what and when.
We receive excellent support and have always been helped quickly
It gives me an insight on how to be during my role and a chance to reflect on my behaviour
I have been to a networking event with all other apprentices in different sectors of BA
