I am currently in the HS2 drafting team and my day to day includes reviewing drawings and adding markups and it involves creating drawings to be sent off to review and to fix markups for drawings that have been reviewed and issues have been found
I have learnt lots of CAD skills and given that I have made huge leaps in my CAD skills I have then learnt training skills to train other staff due to my knowledge so my communication skills can now excel
I love my programme and want to move onto the level 6 as soon as possible and stay with my company for as long as I can even hopefully moving countries and staying with my company
My organisation is very structured. We have a well-tolerated team on my direct work level, and the division has leads spread out with regions and direct manager roles, with a very effective, simple organizational chart. Also, my HS2 team is structured very well by sections.
I receive as much support as I want as I have a great relationship with senior staff who love to help
I receive plenty and college work directly related to the work I do so I learn stuff in college that helps with my real work and my college is very driven on getting me to my qualifications they do everything they can with plenty of trackers and meetings
I learn skills in college that are directly linked to highways design
There are so many socials that I can attend that can range from watching sports to going for drinks to cooking classes to going to theatres to playing football to going to paintball it really is anything you want to do.
Yes
Would love them to work in such a great environment where colleagues already are like friends
Be passionate - The company does not mind if someone does not know something as things can be learnt but the attitude to wanting to learn is what they care about
