  • HPLC analysis and method development/validation. Supporting other studies such as PK and toxicology studies.

  • I have learnt a huge range of skills from general business skills such as meeting scheduling and presenting to a team, or general lab skills and use of scientific equipment and scientific analysis

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love my program, met some great people and i have always enjoyed practical learning which is why a degree apprenticeship was perfect for me

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The program is structured as expected. The university provides the degree education and you are given a uni day where you can study and complete your uni work. The rest of the time you work and help the business whilst learning practical skills.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Huge amount of support. I have many people to go to if i have issues and my team is supportive and understanding. They give me help with any questions i have.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The university could be better some lecturers have been better than others (which is to be expected), but on the whole the uni does help when questions are raise in (mostly) a timely manner.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A little bit, I am currently in year 1 which is quite similar to A levels in terms of academic difficulty. Therefore the work i do is more advanced than the knowledge i gain from the uni course at this moment in time.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are lots of extra-curricular activities, lots of sports classes and a gym on site which i love and use almost every day.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • If you are someone who wants to get yourself in industry and loves practical learning. GSK degree apprenticeships are an excellent option.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to GSK?
  • Be yourself and show that you are passionate about improving peoples lives.
