Internal Audit Apprentice - Role involves working on Audits within the business. Regularly attend meetings with the business to understand processes and work done, test controls, write audit workpapers.
Improved communication skills and report writing skills. Developed a better understanding of financial services industry and different areas within the business, through conducting various audits.
I enjoy working at M&G. There is a great working culture, with lots of support in place and flexible working methods.
Programme structure is clear, with monthly assignments to complete.
Huge amounts of support from employer. Receive 1 study day per week to focus on apprenticeship work and my line manager is always eager to assist in any way he can.
Communication can be a bit slow, however all queries do get resolved in the end and they are very understanding.
The qualification doesn't help me perform better in my role. It asks me to evidence work that I have done in my role, so in a way it compounds any skills I have gained through my role, but does not provide me with any new skills.
