My role is highly project management based working with many cross functional teams to ensure the best for patients / participants in clinical trials. On a day to day basis this means being in many team meetings to resolve issues and current projects.
During my time as an apprentice I have learnt and developed many new & existing skills such as effective communication, teamwork, project management and leadership.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as an apprentice at GSK and feel that it has been a great way for me to gain insights into clinical research.
My program at GSK has been well structured however there have been challenges with the university.
I have received excellent support from my employer both with my university work and with my on-the-job learning. It can be very difficult to come into a corporate environment after leaving school however they were understanding and gave me the support needed.
The support from the training provided has been quite hands off and is very much defined as ''self learning''. I feel that there could have been more support given from the training provider.
My qualification is very related to my role and therefore has been beneficial to my success in my apprenticeship.
There are many extra-curricula activities to get involved in at GSK including early talent social activities, sports teams and annual celebrations.
