i feel my role is important but as i am still technically within my first year there is not much on job training and alot of the time is consumed within a classroom, as time goes on and i am completing more on base training for a prolonged period of time i will then see more of what my working role is.
i have learnt new skills and devolped others i already have , although i am grateful for these new skills, as our schedule does not allow for much on job training within the first 12 months it does not allow us to practice our new learned skills on our actual job sites and , this sometimes leads to re learning the skill.
i do enjoy my programme very much but the long periods (months) spent learning in classroms of theory work is overwhelming where it is being crammed, although i understand theory is needed, sometimes a break to put the theory in practice would be desireable.
i feel that my learning now will benefit the company in the future
we have a programme that is constantly updated online
always able to contact someone if there is issues or problems
always able to contact someone if there is issues or problems
as i am an older apprentice of 25 who has rent and bills to pay i feel that the salary is just enough if it was anything less i would be struggling, but the added benefit of fuel expenses etc helps vastly
yes there are but this is something that i will look at more once my apprentice ship is finished as sometimes the events clash with the programme.
Yes
