  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Great cohort of people and I enjoy the different aspects of the programme as they all provide a good balance.

    8/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme tries to balance the different aspects of a degree apprenticeship, work, university, and the level 4/6 apprenticeship, but doesn’t quite provide a strong or consistent outline for progression within the apprenticeship and after.

    5/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Great support for my learning, and try to help prioritise my work and time for me to keep on top of it all. Aside from my team, It can be difficult to find answers about the structure of the scheme and consistently left with more questions than I started with.

    7/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • 8/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • At times content and modules may not be relevant to the day-to-day job, but I find it useful for a greater understanding of different areas of the organisation, industry, products, and teams. However, there is a portfolio and EPA aspect of the apprenticeship which takes away from the time that I can spend learning and performing in the role, and doesn’t really help with future performance as it primarily reflects on previous experience.

    8/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • 6/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend UBS to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Overall an incredible experience and the opportunities that arise are great. Ultimately a strong set up for my future, and keeps me focused on work that I find genuinely interesting. Programme limitations are (hopefully) temporary and will improve with continued feedback and after the scheme.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UBS?
  • Be yourself, communicate clearly, and express the things you’re passionate about and how your experiences relate to the position you’re applying for. Enthusiasm is key.
