I manage all Agency labour requirements for our project on the M25 J10 Improvement Scheme. I make sure we have the correct people for the job and liase with works manager if we need to on hire or off hire operatives. I manage all timesheets on a weekly basis. I also manage internal haulage dealing with various stakeholders to make sure we get the correct number of wagons to each job within the project. I do a cost & performance report weekly where the efficiencies are monitored.
While i am learning new things i wouldn't say they directly impact my everyday role
Always keen to learn new things so i can make a positive difference to the business
I feel the programme model is not great as it is mainly self taught and only 3 hours per module spent on actual learning. I am more inclined to grasp things if i were to attend actual lectures/workshops in person as apposed to online
Weekly catch up calls - my direct line manager actively assists
While they offer loads of support, as previously mentioned i don't believe it is delivered in the best possible way.
Again, i don't feel that my course is directly assisting me in my everyday role. I certainly have learnt some good stuff but feel a different apprenticeship would have served me better
Yes there are a number of activities however currently i cannot get involved due to personal reasons
Yes
The company culture is one that allows growth and inclusion. They look after their staff and afford them amazing opportunities
If you feel you have the skills to get involved then just apply and be confident in your approach. If you wanted to join as an apprentice then have a concrete understanding of what you want to achieve and how you believe you would be a great fir for the role.
