Check in customers, board customers at the gates, help out in flight connections and provide a good experience for our passengers
Learnt how to provide excellent customer service to our passengers and leant to be more confident in myself
The programme is really enjoyable, however, the work load on top of working full time shifts can be difficult and exhausting at times. It is really fun doing shifts as everyday is not the same and you feel fulfilled coming home from work.
I feel the programme is well orangised and structured with clear expectations of us as apprentices
I feel supported somewhat by my employer, however, there can be times when you don’t feel supported, for example, balancing the work load. Despite this, my employer cares for my mental health and ensures that I feel supported in my role.
I feel supported by my training provider to work towards qualifications. I always feel that I can rely on my training provider on help regarding my apprenticeship work
I learn new skills each time I complete a duty day, or complete mandatory e learning modules. I also feel the qualification enables me to feel more confident whilst doing my role in the terminal.
There is plenty of extra-curricular activists to get involved with in my workplace. There is always advertisements regarding these such events
Yes
I feel the apprenticeship is well structured. I would inform my friend there is a lot of work that goes along with full time shifts, however, you do feel rewarded when you work day to day helping our customers and gaining the satisfaction of knowing you’ve done a good job.
Be yourself. If you don’t feel supported, raise your concerns with your manager and tell them why. Always make sure you don’t overwork yourself and ensure you have the right balance of workload and shift time as it’s important to also have a home life and a social life outside of BA.
