When I started the Apprenticeship I was working in Quality Control of processes. Now I changed my role to Associate Support Partner, in a team that works to improve associate engagement, activities, reward programs, etc.
Yes. Since I started in Amazon, I learned a lot by doing. The apprenticeship gave me deeper knowledge about theories and tools that I can use while in my role. I feel now more prepare to progress in my career path in Amazon, and my next step is to apply to be a Manager.
I really like the program. I have to say it was challenging to keep track of my deadlines due the difficult task of balance my work time with the studies. Regardless, there was some themes that I really enjoyed, such as Managing Self, Leading and Communicating trough change and Developing my team.
I feel the program was very well organized. Like I explain before, it was challenging to balance the apprenticeship and my work (specifically during Peak Time), but i am very glad I had some flexibility with the college to deliver my assignments. Very important for as well was the English and Maths part of the program, the classes available were very useful and I could see the records whenever I was working on night shift.
Although it was difficult to managed, mainly when I was doing night shift (half of the apprenticeship time), but I did get the support form my line managers (some more the others, I have to say). I am really grateful to Amazon for the chance to do this course, and to all the managers and colleges that supported me.
The support was amazing. My tutor was always available when I needed. She was always able to answer my questions and doubts and even made a extra effort to be with me personally several times throughout the program. In the last month of my apprenticeship we had meetings weekly to make sure everything was kept in track.
I am very confident that the qualification helps me to perform better. Now I even feel prepare to go to the next level and apply for a manager position.
Yes. Every week we have different activities such as celebrations of important dates, such as World Health Day, Day of Pink, Easter, Eid.... We also have sports (table tennis tournament for example) and other events life the Apprenticeship /Career Choice fair we had recently. And I help to organize all the events.
Yes
Because is a great place to work. The pay is fair (of course it could be better, but is fair) and we have so many benefits. Now working as Associate Support Partner and being involved in the engagement projects, I have a better idea about how much Amazon invest in the well being and support of its associates. It is quite amazing.
Go for it! Work Hard and you will be recognized. You will get the chance to learn and to grow.
