As a digital marketing degree apprentice I work on creating digital assets, the creation of websites and finding new and innovative ways of working. I study at university one day a week which involves 4 hours of lecture/seminar on one subject and 3 hours on another.
I have learnt many new skills such as both independence and teamwork/collaboration, communications skills, leadership skills and more personal development skills.
I really love the programme and have a great work-study-life balance. The projects I am working on with different teams are really interesting and I am constantly surrounded by supportive people.
My programme is very well structured and I am very aware of the layout
I receive lots of support from my employer through regular check ins with my line manager
I receive good support from my training provider.
I think that studying alongside helps to perform better and gain a deeper understanding to your role however my work projects are quite different to what I am studying so there isn't always a clear link.
Yes. AstraZeneca provide many opportunities for networking both for apprentices and general employees.
