Junior Financial Analyst. Daily tasks include journaling costs, reconcilliation and accruals. Month end taks include creating reports, analysing costs and variances. Interactions with workforce team, cost centre managers and external contractor agency. Main responsibilities are management of contractor payments and producing monthly reports with commentary.
Development of Excel skills, I have learnt how to use new software include the M&G general ledger 'Sun'. I have learnt how to carry out new tasks and processes specific to the job role. I have access to internal online training specific to the Investment sector, as well as personal development.
The company culture is friendly, collegues are approachable and the team work together to share workload and deadline pressures.
Manager appreciates the work I do, she often praises my work and will ensure I receive recognition for work I have completed for others on her behalf.
Training and support has been consistant; the team are always willing to help. Delegation and responsibility have gradually increased.
Mentor has not given me the same information as other apprentices within my company. Initial meet with co-ordinator was not helpful as the information was incorrect.

The culture of the company is friendly and approachable which makes a big difference when joining a new company. The staff are very helpful and are understanding of my ability. There are many social activities availiable to join to help to settle into the company.
