I rotate through different parts of the business to provide support and gain experience. Day to day, I work within a team working on a large programme of work, providing project controls services (Risk management, change management, cost management, reporting)
I have developed many new skills from day to day work as well as being given the opportunity to take part in several training courses to further gain and develop new skills.
I enjoy being in a team and working alongside other apprentices on the programme. I also think my programme has a good balance between work and university days, which works well for me
I think my programme is very well structured. My work department rotations are planned out in advance so that I have time to prepare for my next role. The university also provides a timetable with all dates for lectures, assignment support sessions, assignment deadlines, and feedback dates so that we can always be organised.
I receive a lot of experience from my employer by providing training courses, regularly scheduled 1-2-1s and daily team calls where I can ask any questions that I have.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider through lectures, reading material, in depth feedback, and assignment support sessions
My qualification helps me in my role day to day by providing me with industry and project controls knowledge as well as best practice advice for job tasks.
There are lots of extra curricular activities at work, such as: after work socials, football/other sports, networking events/conferences

I would recommend Arcadis as it is a people first organisation that can provide many opportunities due to the size of the organisation and the many clients we work for.
I would recommend doing your research on the company to understand what we do. I would also research the different roles Arcadis has to decide what role you think suits you best before you apply as there are many roles throughout the business.
