I work supporting people and solicitors , who have lost a family member or friend. I help them close down the deceased accounts. I guide them through our process. Signposting the steps, what documents we need to see. and how long processes take. I send out info they request.
I learnt a mountain of knowledge doing my diploma. Very helpful and insightful not only for my job but also for my own developmental behaviour. I learnt about resilience, empathy, complaint handling, how a business can be successful. I learnt about my own resilience and empathy.
The workshops were the best. A very creative way to learn. The lecturer was full of energy and passionate about his subject. I liked group online lectures too with the follow up of writing essays on what the subjects were. The support was easy to access too.
It was well structed throughout. It was a challenge through too, which is what I wanted. The units were cohesive and contacted together in an understandable way.
Nationwide was great. They supported us through out and we had regular catches on how it was going. They also supported us by giving us time to do our learning and assignments. They gave us 360 degrees feedback.
The initial 2 months were a bit hit and miss. The chap looking after us didn't prove to be very good. So, they replaced him and from then on the support was faultless. Regular catch ups, assignments marked and feedback given promptly. Emails answered promptly too.
What I learnt from my qualification helps me everyday in work and outside work. Understanding the structed of a business and how teams and good communication is intrinsic to success. I use a lot of empathy my role and the course helped me understand the difference between empathy and sympathy.
We volunteering days out. Helping a charity. Maybe painting or cleaning. I have been involved in sleeping rough for a night to help raise funds for the homeless. Work supports a range of activities.
