  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to analyse customer recommendation scores received from surveys, along with verbatim and analysing other key drivers to help implement improvements in business practices and across centres. I also carry out adhoc analysis work and handle a customer recommendation inbox.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to use Power Bi, Power Automate, Microsoft Sways, Toyota platforms used for survey information and analysis. I have developed collaboration skills working within teams both remotely and in person, I have also developed time management skills and how to adapt to new working processes.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have just completed my induction week at university and I am very excited to start my course. At my work place, I am enjoying the challenge of learning new systems and ways of working. I am also enjoying the different visualisations that help show and compare data sets.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My manager has set out my daily, weekly and monthly tasks, I understand what I have been given so far. I am aware of ongoing and upcoming projects and my responsibilities within these.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have weekly 121 sessions booked in with my manager where I feel comfortable discussing my progress and asking for help in areas when required and feedback on current projects/work. I am able to speak to my colleagues about any issues or queries regarding my work.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • It is difficult to answer this question as I have just completed the induction week, however the support I have received so far has been brilliant. I have spoken with my Maths professorwho has advised of materials I can start utilising and google chats have been set up with my other professors.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel the information that will be provided in my course will help me better understand the varying platforms used within my company. I feel it will also help develop my critical thinking and problem solving skills by developing my analysis skills.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have joined the Sports & Social club and will be attending events as and when I can. I ensure I attend as many events held my by company, including neurodiversity weeks and international womens day.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Toyota GB to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • As a company they are very supportive in all aspects, within personal life, health and within work. The office space is incredible and allows you to have your own space, book meeting rooms and take a break in the innovation centre. The surrounding gardens are calming to walk through during breaks and the possibilities within the company itself are endless.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Toyota GB?
  • Research the company prior to interview, including the practices the company follows, including Jikan and Genchi. Be prepared to take on a task.
